I highly recommend HICKMAN TRAILER.  I purchased a utility trailer two years ago and am very pleased with it.  The sale went well and the slight modifications I needed for towing were explained and done.

A year later I purchased a used camper and Chris was very informative and modified the lighting I needed.   Great folks!

If I have a question the folks there are always available and helpful.

I purchased a 5 X 8 trailer about a month ago for my Razor.  If you remember, we looked for one with good decking so I could paint a faded Colorado flag on it. I’ve attached a picture.  I put heavy coats of verathane on it and it’s held up very well to the use.  Love the trailer. Thanks to you and Christy for making the buying experience pleasurable and easy.

Today I brought my travel trailer in for a tandem axle bearing pack service. This is the third year in a row I have had you guys perform this service along with a safety check. Every year you amaze me with the incredible level of customer service you provide. You take customer service to a level that other only can dream about.  I received a couple calls during the day just to keep my updated and the work was completed way before I ever thought it would be. In and out in under 4 hours, Thanks!

When I picked the trailer up I shared a story with Mike and Chris about an interaction my sister had with Chris on the phone recently. She had called late in the day with a question about some fuse and wiring problems they were having. Chris walked them through the solution on the phone and solved the problem. My sister could not believe that somebody would take the time on the phone (at closing time) to solve a problem without making them bring it in to charge them. She called me and said “now I know why you use Hickman, those guys are great”.
They are now a Hickman customer for life, just like me.

I wanted to thank you again for the outstanding value we received in purchasing our Hustler zero turn mower.  I have to admit I was skeptical of the advertised claims of cutting our mowing time but the proof is in the performance.  We have a 5 acre treed yard to mow and was astounded that the Hustler reduced our mowing time by an incredible two thirds! All that time saved is only one benefit of the Hustler.  It is an incredibly rugged and reliable machine which stands up well to the punishing terrain and environment of eastern Colorado.  It is everything you said, your recommendation was spot on.

I want to extend my thanks to Chris for taking care of me today with my horse trailer. After having service done last fall, the trailer sat for the winter and when we went to use it this spring the lights weren’t working and a hub seal was missing. Your team took care of the issues, fixing the faulty wiring, replacing and repacking the bearings and replacing a wiring harness. All I was charged for was the harness. I have used MSE-Hickman for a few years on multiple trailers and have been satisfied with the price and service overall. Unfortunately we are moving of state in another month and will be challenged to find another service provider that I can count on. I have been meaning to send you this note for a couple of weeks now. Just one of those things that I haven’t gotten around to, but I really felt I needed to send you my thanks. I’m sure you’ll remember us, a mom and two daughters from California going through the Western States.


I really appreciate how you worked with me to fit me into the schedule to check my hitch when everybody else told me they could see me in three weeks. Eventually, one of the other places I called referred me to your company and after I spoke with you on the phone and then came in to your shop, I knew you guys were the ones who could take care of my problem. After we determined that I would continue to have the same problem with my old hitch and we selected our new hitch, you managed to squeeze me in the next day for the installation so that we could stay on schedule for our extended trip, not to mention the fact that you had to pick up the hitch as well.


We love our new Curt hitch. It is awesome. It’s so easy to use and works well on uneven ground. It made the rest of our trip much more enjoyable. We had a slight problem one day when we tried to hook up and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong (I couldn’t get on the hitch all the way and then I couldn’t get off to start over). Anyway, I called curt and they promptly referred me to on of the designers who said that the jaws had probably mistimed slightly and this did not usually happen, but he was able to quickly tell me what to do to solve it. We didn’t have any more problems after that.

Anyway, we made it home after nearly two months on the road. The kids are back in school now and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your awesome customer service and give you feedback on the hitch, since it was a new one that you did not regularly recommend. Thank goodness we upgraded to a 20K because we had some side panels come out on the trailer while driving (long story, but with a little duct tape and nails, we were able to make it back to California), so I’m hoping to upgrade the trailer soon!
